A witchdoctor in Mbarara has left believers in Kiyanja cell, Kamukuzi, Mbarara city doubting the Biblical teachings after he retrieved a body of one of their own who drowned in a swimming pool.
The deceased Edgar Nimusiima, 20, a resident of Rubare in Ntungamo district has been a reknown ginger supplier around Mbarara.
According to residents, they notified the police who swung into action but failed to retrieve the body thus they mobilized and paid 300.000 Uganda shillings to a witch doctor who later helped them to retrieve the deceased’s body.
Residents challenged the government to train the police marine force on how to handle such cases.
The body of the deceased was later handed to Police before taking it for postmortem at Mbarara Regional referral hospital.
