Police in Luwero have arrested a woman for allegedly stabbing her husband to death after he reportedly caught her in a sexual affair with his friend inside their home.
The suspect, identified as Shakira Mbabazi, is accused of killing 29-year-old Godfrey Kamoga on Wednesday night in Namawojja village, Zirobwe sub-county.
According to local residents, a heated argument erupted after Kamoga walked in on Mbabazi and his friend. The confrontation quickly escalated, leading Mbabazi to allegedly grab a knife and stab her husband in the sitting room. Kamoga is said to have died instantly.
Police arrived at the scene and transported his body to Luwero Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination. Meanwhile, Mbabazi is in custody as investigations into the tragic incident continue.
Authorities have urged the public to seek peaceful ways of resolving domestic conflicts to prevent such fatal incidents.
