10 remanded in custody over Masaka murders

MASAKA:

Magistrate court in Masaka has sent for pre-trial detention 10 suspects in connection with the vicious murder crimes in Masaka.

The suspects have been identified as,Sserwada Mike, 34, Muwonge Jude, 38 and others still at large.

They were arraigned to court and have been charged with 7 counts of Murder and 1 of attempted Murder.

According to a charge shit which Parrots UG seen, it is alleged that Sserwada Mike,  a businessman and resident of Kisenyi village Wankulukuku Lubaga Division Kampala, Muwonge Jude, a builder and resident of Kirimya Kimanya-Kabonera Division in Masaka city and others still at large on the night of August23, 2021, in Ssettaala village Masaka city made aforethought act killed Mugerwa Kiuza Francis.

Incontrovertible evidence from the Police Forensic services clearly links them to the the death of 7 people.

They were on Wednesday arraigned Masaka magistrate court which remanded them to Ssazi prison until September 15, 2021.
