Uganda Red Cross search and rescue team, together with locals in Isule village have recovered a body of a 6 year old Sunday Mwambali, a Primary one pupil at Kyabikuha P/S in Kalonge village, Isule Parish, Maliba Sub-County.
He is believed to have been washed away by flush floods around river Hima, on his way from school last evening.
The search and rescue efforts followed reports of a missing child by the family and relatives Uganda Red Cross continues to conduct early warning messages, Safety and take heed advisories to those in areas at risk.
“We implore the general public to listen to radio messages shared so that we follow them and be safe” said John Cliff.
The body has been handed over to the local authorities as confirmed by John Cliff Wamara the PRO/communications Red Cross society.
