The Anglican Bishop of West Ankole Diocese, Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni has said his great love for His Grace Paul Kaamuza Bakyenga, the deceased Emeritus Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese stemmed from his fluency in peaking the Runyankore language.

“I personally knew and loved him also as a good Runyankore language speaker,” Bishop Twinomujuni said

He made the remarks in his condolence message to the Archbishop’s family, Mbarara Archdiocese and the christians fraternity.

“To our beloved, the Roman Catholic Community, I write on behalf of West Ankole Diocese and on my own to express our heartfelt condolences to you for the departure of our dear elder and servant of God, His Grace Emeritus Paul K. Bakyenga,” read the condolence message in parts.

Recalling the best moments shared with the deceased at his retirement ceremony, Bishop Twinomujuni was thankful to Archbishop Bakyenga of giving wise counsel to whomever came to him.

“I also was part when we received him at his retirement home at St. Kagwa in Ishaka. I thank God that recently I visited him while accompanying His Grace the Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu,” Bishop Twinomujuni said

He added, “I still remember the wise statement of counsel he gave us before we prayed for him and he said bye to us.”

“In Christ, though we die, we shall live (John 11:25). In heaven the long-parted meet, and those who meet part no more.” Twinomujuni further eulogized

He congratulated the deceased Archbishop on offering full service to “humanity and serving the Most High! Dear Paul K. Bakyenga! Rest in joy, our beloved brother, elder, and servant of the Most High!”
