Police in Mbarara city South Division are investigating circumstances under which a businesswoman was reportedly beheaded to death.
Annet Nambuya, 32, a resident of Katete Central, Katete ward, Mbarara City she was killed by unknown assailants who attacked and cut off her head. Nambuya was sitting under the tree at her home smoking a traditional smoking pipe when the attack happened.
SP Samson Kasasira, Rwizi region police spokesperson says a sharp panga with blood stains which the killers allegedly used was recovered near the crime scene.
Among other exhibits recovered is a mobile phone, knife, traditional smoking pipe and female knickers.
No arrests have been made regarding this murder and police has already started inquiries into the matter.
