KIBOGA
Two directors of Spring of Wisdom Primary school in Kiboga district have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a teacher and her one-year-old child.
Bruno Ddamulira and Gladys Nakalyango, both directors of the school, are being held by police in connection with the killing of Noeline Nabwenjje, a 26-year-old teacher at the school, and her young son, Jonan Gayel.
According to eyewitnesses, unknown assailants attacked the victims in their rented room in Kyanja cell, Kiboga town council, on the night of June 30. The attackers inflicted severe injuries on the victims, resulting in their death.
Constantine Ndawula, the Kyanja LC1 Chairperson, said concerned residents became suspicious of the teacher’s whereabouts after she failed to wake up the following day and they forcibly entered the house and discovered the bodies laying in pools of blood. The police were promptly alerted, and investigations into the incident have commenced.
The motive behind the murder is yet to be established, but police sources indicate that the suspects were known to have had a contentious relationship with the deceased teacher.
The community is in shock and mourning the loss of the young teacher and her child. The police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward as they work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
