Clouds have turned black at the Namwongo based media house Nations Media Group after the hand of death robbed them of their reporter, JB Ssenkubuge.

Ssenkubuge a journalist attached to the Daily Monitor Newspaper has been a special reporter on Motor sports (Motor sport photojournalist). He allegedly succumbed to high blood pressure (HBP) earlier today.

Those known to the deceased have described him as a reserved person who minded his businesses in the news room.

Ssenkubuge’s death comes merely after a fortnight when the media industry mourned the death of Sheila Nakabuye, a journalist employed with Next media’s NBS TV.

Nakabuye died at Mbarara regional referred moments after giving birth. Its reported that she experienced postnatal complications and went into comma till her death.

In this year alone, western Uganda has lost five journalists. Other details of Ssenkubuge’s death will be published in our subsequent stories.
