Vipers Sporting Club are out CAF Champions League after going 1-0 to Al Hilal Omdurman at Blue Jewel stadium in South Sudan on Sunday evening.
Ahmad Musa’s strike in 63rd minute was enough for the hosts to qualify for the next stage of the continental club competition.
Both teams had nothing to show for their efforts in the first stanza of the game but the visitors reacted early through Musa’s strike.
Abdalla Aboeshren, the hosts goalkeeper denied Vipers the lead in early second half with several unexpected goal line clearances and saves.
The visitors made early substitutions as Cesar Njoki gave out for Najib Yiga and Disan Galiwango for Paul Mucureezi, but was not enough for the Venoms.
Vipers SC will be expected to come back and concetrate for the domestic league as their hopes have been cut by the South Sudan based club.
Vipers will visit Wakiso Giants on Saturday as they play their first match of the 2020-21 Startimes Uganda Premier League campaign.
