unknown fire outbreaks have engulfed girl’s dormitory at Kings College Buddo about 12Km West Kampala in Nsangi sub county Wakiso district.
According to the school administration, the fire broke out earler this morning on Tuesday April 27 while all while were out for morning preps.
According Luke Owoyesigyire, the police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan, fire gutted the last floor of Grace House Girl’s Dormitory. He says that the fire is believed to have started from one building housing the senior 3 an 1 dormitories at around 7am while students were for their morning prep.
Joseph Mugisha, the director of police fire and rescue services says police have responded to a fire outbreak and so far they have managed to contain the fire from spreading any further.
Mugisha added that no any casualties were registered and police will release an official report on the causes of the fire shortly after investigations.
Meanwhile, parents who had come to attend morning prayers were seen overcrowding the school premises to ascertain safety of their children.
