Fufa corporate tournament returns after two years

Football regulators in Uganda FUFA have confirmed the return of the FUFA corporate tournament. The tournament that is scheduled on Sunday 8th may 2022 at FUFA technical center in Njeru returned after two years of lockdown the first time since 2019.

The sixth edition of this tournament will include a total of 12 teams with a theme “activating the annual corporate outreach”

The draws that were Conducted today at the FUFA house ochestred by acting FUFA marketing director Saddam Bulega whereas James Obua and Ronald kasanya from National Water and sewerage corporation and diamond trust bank respectively represented the participating teams.

Bulega said that it is exciting to have the tournament back after a two year hiatus and believe this year’s edition comes bigger and better.

“As FUFA we are pleased to have this tournament back and it was unfortunate not to host the last two years due to Covid 19 but we and tjtjt corporate companies have rrsrespon well even on short notice.”

Obua the representative  of two time winners national water and sewerage corporation stated that they are back to clinch yet another title .

” We are back to extend our dominance in this tournament our team is ready and we have training to get fit therefore the other teams should come prepared to face us.”he said.

Kasanya from Diamond Trust bank also great confidence said that their  team is ready for this tournament

“we had been training to get fit therefore the other teams should come prepared to face is” he stated.

The 12 teams have been placed in three groups with four with the top two qualifying for the quarter finals and joined by two best third teams .
