The federation of Uganda football associations (FUFA) has today unveiled Nivana packaged drinking water as the national teams water partner.
In an event held at the FUFA headquarters Mengo Kampala, the FUFA President Moses Magogo together with the Marketing manager Crown Beverages Timothy Luzinda signed a memorandum of understanding worth 500Million shillings for a duration of Three years.
In his speech Luzinda stated that as Nivana water, they have gone a step further in legitimizing their support through a long term partnership with FUFA by becoming the official refreshment partner for the next 3 years.
“We are privileged and honored to be part and parcel of the football journey in Uganda. We have been partners with FUFA especially in Beach soccer and other events such as the General Assembly and Awards,” Luzinda said.
Moses Magogo the FUFA President thanked Nivana water for coming on board to support the national Football team.
“We are excited to have Nivana as our new official water patner for the next three years responsible to quench thirsty for both the footballers and the fans.” Magogo said.
He also revealed that as FUFA, they are in very challenging times to attract brands to partner with.
“We are working as FUFA to attract sponsors for football and there is still space for other players to come on board.” Magogo revealed.
Rogers Byabakama a FUFA Executive Committee member appreciated the efforts by Nivana water to sponsor the country’s national football teams.
“Water is a very important ingredient in the life of an athlete. It has been a huge cost for the federation to ensure that footballers are well hydrated. We are humbled to have such a partner to provide water.” Byabakama said.
The Uganda National teams that are to benefit from this great partnership for the next 3 years are, Uganda Cranes, Crested Cranes, Hippos, Kobs, Cubs & Sand Cranes.
Nivana water is a product of Crown Beverages Limited (CBL) the makers of Pepsi products in uganda. CBL was also the first company to sponsor Beach Soccer some time back when the sport had just started in Uganda.
