Police in Buikwe district have arrested Daniel Kaliisa, for possession of Improvised Explosive Device(IED) Bomb, police spokesperson Fred Enanga has said.
According to Enanga, the suspect was arrested during a joint operation between the police and the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence(CMI) following a tip off by locals.
Kaliisa, 25 was arrested from Bulyanteete village in Buikwe district and a search was conducted in his house and a number of properties on how to wage a war were discovered.
“A search in his house led to recovery of an Itel phone that can be used to detonate the bomb, a Samsung phone , two duplicate national IDs and reading materials on how to wage war,”Enanga.
Enanga said police experts are now examining the Improvised Explosive Device to find out its capacity as investigations continue.
