Wamala police region has launched manhunts for a Milk Tanker driver who knocked dead a police officer in Kiboga district.
David Ddumba, the officer in charge of operations at Kiboga Police Station last night died in a road accident as he was riding back home.
According to Rachel Kawala, the Police Spokesperson Wamala region Dumba was riding on a motorcycle on the way home, when a milk tanker Reg. No. UAV 634Z knocked him dead at Kiwanguzi village, Kiboga District, on the Kampala-Hoima Road.
She said that the driver of the tanker is on the run but police is still hunting for him.
She added that Ddumba’s body was taken to Kiboga Health Centre IV for a postmortem as police is still looking into the matters.
Residents in Kiboga mourned the untimely death of David Dumba whom they referred to as; “Afabde Sumba” describing him as a friendly, kind and good listener officer.
Paul Ssesaazi, one of the mourners whom Parrotsug learned about his working with Dumba described him as a generous and committed officer.
