The discovery, believed to have been unearthed as a result of soil erosion, triggered meticulous inquiries by law enforcement authorities. The scene was meticulously processed and documented, adhering to the highest safety protocols. In collaboration with bomb experts, a controlled explosion was carried out on-site, effectively neutralizing the potential danger and ensuring the safety of the public.

No injuries or damages were reported as a result of the controlled explosion. The successful operation stands as a testament to the professionalism and dedication of the Entebbe Police Division, whose prompt action averted any possible harm that could have arisen from the explosive device.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police, emphasized the importance of public vigilance in ensuring community safety. He urged individuals to promptly report any suspicious items they may come across, as this proactive approach enhances police response time and acts as a vital safeguard against potential threats.

The authorities assure the public that further details regarding the incident will be provided at the earliest opportunity, reinforcing their commitment to transparency and public accountability.

In light of this incident, visitors to the Botanical Gardens are encouraged to exercise caution and be alert to their surroundings. The incident serves as a reminder that even within serene and picturesque environments, potential dangers may lurk. The Entebbe Police Division, in coordination with relevant authorities, remains committed to guaranteeing the security of the area and the safety of all its visitors.

Reiterating the significance of public cooperation, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire stated, “Public safety is a shared responsibility, and we encourage everyone to play their part in keeping our communities secure. Your vigilance and collaborative efforts can save lives.”

Law enforcement authorities once again applaud the swift and efficient response of the Entebbe Police Division in handling this potentially hazardous situation. The successful resolution of the incident serves as a testament to their ongoing commitment to protecting the well-being of the public.
