Police has on Tuesday impounded a vehicle belonging to the ministry of health after it was intercepted carrying construction materials.
The Box Body vehicle type registration number UG 6495, has been intercepted at Buloba checkpoint in Wakiso District after traffic police received a tip-off from the office of the Inspector General of Government, IGG, to stop it.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, said one person, Kugonza Geoffrey, the driver of the motor vehicle has been arrested over abuse of office.
ASP Owoyesigyire added that the towed vehicle is currently parked at Buloba police station and that investigation into the alleged abuse of office are ongoing.
