PARROTS UG|COURTS:
Jailed National Unity Platform (NUP) MPs Muhammad Ssegirinya (Kawempe North) and Allan Ssewanyana (Makindye West) were on Wednesday afternoon seen walking with broken limbs as they returned to court in Masaka for mentioning of their charges.
The duo were allegedly tortured inside detentions by security operatives and pair of their appendages broken.
It should be recalled that security operatives rearrested the two legislators at different days shortly after they were released on bail from Kigo prison where they had been detained on counts of murder, attempted murder, terrorism and abetting terrorism in connection to machette wielding killings in Masaka region which left over 30 people dead.
They were kidnapped outside Kigo prison by security operatives driving in drone car and whisked them to unknown detention.
Security later confirmed the rearrests noting that the duo were rearrested on fresh charges of treason and incitement of violence.
By the time of compiling this report the legislators were still in court, our reporters will update you on the new developments.
