The prime minister of the republic of Uganda, the Rt Hon Robinah Nabanja has cautioned parents against demarcating and fragmenting land amongst their children.

The prime minister was today speaking as the chief guest while handing over 4000 land titles for residents of Kitumba Sub County at Kakoma play ground in Ndorwa West County, Kabale district.

Nabanja told land title beneficiaries that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is against demarcating and fragmenting land among children as a great risk to a family asking them not to engage in such an act.

Nabanja warned the beneficiaries to consider land titles serious and not for granted, saying that getting it is a hard process for someone to have it asking them to guard them jealously and use them as a family instead of demarcating and fragmenting it.

The state minister of trade industry and cooperatives, Hon David Bahati who doubles as the area Member of Parliament revealed that the area has been on several times facing a lot of cases of land conflicts. Bahati said that issuing of land titles will reduce such cases, stop land from being fragmented but become an asset to other resources for family productivity.
