It is a state of shivering with fears at the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) as the party unveils new face in the Omoro county by election.
The newly unveiled candidate is Justine Odongo, Omoro District FDC Chairperson and former LC3 chairperson for Koro sub county Tochi county Omoro District.

Odongo’s nomination follows yesterday’s reports alleging the kidnapo of Dick Denis Owani, who was on April 29th unveiled the FDC flagbearer for Omoro county seat.
“After the junta kidnapped Denis Owani and stole his nomination papers, we officially unveil Odongo Jistine as our parliamentary candidate for Omoro,” FDC posted on their social media platforms.
However, police dismissed the allegations noting that Owani had stage managed his kidnap.
Owani was expected to be nominated yesterday but he did not make it and FDC alleges that the kidnappers (the Government) forcefully took away his nomination forms. This prompted the FDC Electoral Commission to immediately front a different candidate, a ‘dangerous substitute’ as they called to compete with others in the race to claim Omoro county seat.
Today, the Uganda Electoral Commission is expected to close the nomination exercise for Omoro county by election as May 26 polling day nears.
By press time, over five candidates including Simon Tolit Akeca (NUP), Andrew Ojok Oulanya (NRM) and Odongo Justine (FDC) had been duly nominated and declared candidates for Omoro county seat.
