On Tuesday, this website published a story of a 28-year-old Parish chief Beth Grace Neumbe, a parish chief in Sironko district also niece to Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi who was brutally killed by unknown assailants.
Attached to Nadiso Parish in Buwalasi Sub-county in Sironko District, police findings shows that Neumbe was killed by her toxic lover.
According to the Elgon Regional Police Spokesperson Rogers Taitika, the deceased was planning to shift from a room she was renting in Wagagai Cell escaping from the same jilted lover.
Unfortunately, the lover go to know of the relocation plans and asked to meet the deceased where he was in a hideout which she accepted little did she know it was marking to an end of her life.
“When she reached, the lover only identified as Derrick who was armed with dangerous weapons stabbed her to death with a knife,” Taitika said.
Neumbe was killed in Nkoma ward Mbale city at around 7:30pm on Monday.
It is alleged that the duo had irreconcilable misunderstandings which might have prompted the murder
“It is also said the two were related and they had been told by the clan to separate,” police findings indicated
Joseph Gidudu, the Nkoma ward LC2 Defence Secretary said they recovered a blood-stained knife allegedly used by the suspect to stab the deceased.
The deceased was rushed to the hospital with severe cuts in the neck by an unknown boda-boda rider but she died on the way to hospital.
The boda boda rider fearing to be interrogated by police then dumped the body at Nkoma boda stage where it was discovered
One person, Lydia Negesa, a neighbour who witnessed the incident has been arrested to assist police in investigations.
“We are hunting for the prime suspect and he will be brought to book as soon as he is arrested,” Taitika said.
