Special reports from the US reveals that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have contracted corona virus.
President Donald Trump has tweeted that he and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for coronavirus and are now in quarantine.
“We will get through this together,” he wrote. He added.
The results follow moments after Hope Hicks, 31, an adviser to Trump and one of his closest aides tested positive for coronavirus.
It is alleged that the two travelled together on Air Force One to the first presidential TV debate with Democratic rival Joe Biden in Ohio on Tuesday.
President Trump known for his defiance against COVID-19 guidelines especially on wearing facemasks had some of his family members attending the debate not wearing masks.
Sean Conley, Trump’s physician however said the president and the first lady “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence”.
“Rest assured I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments,” the statement said.
