Police in Kajjansi have arrested two persons on allegations of bribing a police officer.
The suspects identified as Richard Walugembe and Remigio Baale are currently detained at Kajjansi police station.
Their arrest follow moments after Kajjansi police impounded a motor vehicle of Toyota Prado Registration Number UAT 924D which the suspects have been using to rob the public of their money and other properties. And investigations were ongoing. A police Investigations officer who is at the same time a victim of this crime revealed.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police , the suspects decided to bribe the officer to release the vehicle and were caught in action while handing over a bribe to the officer.
Police applauded their officer commending him for actingprofessionally and reporting the acts.
