Two councilors from Ntungamo district Local Government have died in a road accident.

The accident occured today (Monday 18th September , 2023) at Kikanda along Ntungamo -Kabale Highway at 3pm.
The deceased are Monica Kutamba, Secretary for works and councilor for Ngoma subcounty and another only identified as Pius, councilor representing Nyarutuntu subcounty in the council
The duo was traveling in a Toyota Wish car registration number UBH873G heading to Rubaare when they net their death.
Sam Mucunguzi, the Ntungamo district LCV chairperson said bodies of the deceased were conveyed to Itojo Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
The cause of the accident is still not known.
