The Commissioner General of Prisons, Dr. Canon. Johnson Bywbashaija has ordered for a suspension of visits to inmates.
This has been done to contain the spread of ebola virus inside prisons.
In a statement which parrots Media seen, Byabashaija instructed prisons officers in charge across the country to stop using prisoners for casual labours outside the prison as this may expose them to the virus

Since 28th October, there have been 135 cumulative confirmed cases, 18 cases on admission, 62 cumulative recoveries while 53 cases are cumulative deaths, according to records at the ministry of health.
