The Uganda electricity regulatory body also known as UMEME has cautioned the public to keep away from unauthorized electricity Network.
This was after Sulaiman Kafero, a resident of Kayunga Town was electrocuted on 3rd October 2022.
” We have received news about the unfortunate incident. Where Sulaiman Kafero was allegedly electrocuted,” UMEME said
According to the regulator, the victim was allegedly carrying out unauthorized activity on the network.
Peter kaujju, the head of Communications at UMEME says that investigations in the critical cause of electrocution are still ongoing.
Kaujju also reminded the public to report any case of illegal access or vandalism to the police or contact UMEME on 0800285285 08003053 85 and 0312185185.
