KAMPALA
The Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC), has announced the introduction of the E-Gazette, a digital platform for publishing official government notices and advertisements.
Sudi Nangoli the Managing Director of (UPPC) said the E-Gazette is a significant milestone towards embracing digital transformation stating that it will enhance accessibility to government information.

In line to implementing SDG’s number 13 which is on Environment protection, Nangoli explained that E-Gazette will reduce the need for paper, making it a more sustainable option. He encouraged government agencies, businesses, and individuals to utilize the E-Gazette, to save time.

Meanwhile, the head of Prime minister’s Delivery Unit at the office of the prime minister (OPM), Robert Kasule Ssebunya who represented Prime Minister Robina Nabanja at the launching ceremony has challenged the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of Uganda to consider printing ballot papers with the Corporation to save tax payer’s money given to other countries.
According to Ssebunya, Uganda spends alot of tax payers money to outside governments to print out ballots which he says would be best done by UPPC for cost-cutting measures.
