StarTimes Uganda Premier League outfit Wakiso Giants have unveiled John Luyinda as Coach on a two-year contract deal.
Luyinda replaces Alex Gitta who has previously served as the manager of the club after Douglas Bamweyana decided to part ways with the club at the beginning of this year.
“I am so happy to be given the head coach opportunity of such a team that has a vision similar to our philosophy. And I promise to work hard to put the Wakiso Giants back on top.” Luyinda said
Sula Kamoga the CEO of the club says they have been looking for coach Luyinda and they discovered that he would be able to change the history of the club.
“He is still young and in that regard, he will be able to collaborate well considering the skills he has at hand and we as a club are ready to support him financially as well as in other instances.

Luyinda will be deputized by Pius Ngabo, Richard Kansole, (goalkeeping coach) Hakim Ssenkumba, and Alex Kizito(U-17 Coach)
Luyinda previously worked as an assistant coach at KCCA and he has been deputizing Abdallah Mubiru at Police FC.
He becomes the seventh coach ever since the Purple sharks were promoted to the Super league in 2019
Some of the coaches that have previously been at Wakiso Giants include Kefa Kisala, Livingstone Mbabazi, Deo Serwadda, Stephen Bengo, Douglas Bamweyana and Alex Gitta.
