Engraged to be two-timed, a teen mother in Mbarara decided to bathe another woman with hot water under mere suspicions f having a romantic affair with her husband.
The incident happened in Rugaaga Kyandahi, Mbarara district.
The suspect known as Rosemary Kanyesigye, 18, poured boiling water on to Joan Akankunda, 19, who she addressed as a “fornicator”, accusing her of having secret sexual relations with her husband.
It is alleged that the suspect was boiling water to make porridge for her baby and when she went to check inside the house she discovered that the husband had stolen flour and taken it to the victim’s home.
This made Kanyesigye highly charged prompting her to pour the water in a vacuum flask to the victim’s workplace at MK Gardens in Mbarara where she found the victim sleeping and poured boiling water onto her.
Ankunda (the victim) sustained second-degree burns on her back and behind her neck as the scarred her upper abdomen.
The suspect was arrested and detained at Rubindi police station while the victim is still recuperating in Kagongi HCIII in Kashari Mbarara.
