City Hall Court has charged and remanded to Kitalya governmemnt prison a suspect for allegedly obtaining goods by false pretence.
The suspects is Anthony Wapowo, 28 years old, who is accused of fraud.
He was on Thursday arraigned before a grade one magistrateValerian Tuhimbise and denied the allegations that were preferred against him.
According to the prosecutions (Viola Tusingwire), on 18th September, 2021 at Bukoto Nakawa Division in Kampala district, Wapowo with an intent to defraud obtained two Samsung mobile phones valued at UShs 7,830,000 (Seven million eight hundred thirty thousands shillings only) by falsely pretending that he was going to pay wheras not.
The magistrate then remanded him to Kitalya prison until November 16th, 2018 via Video conferencing (Virtual court).
