KAMPALA

Petrinah Babirye, 24, a student of Makerere University pending graduation has been announced dead one week to her graduation.

The University Guild President Shamim Nambasa on Tuesday evening said the deceased was a student of Computer Science hoping to graduate on Wednesday 25th May, 2022 during the university’s 72nd graduation ceremony.

“It is so unfortunate that we have lost a student that was waiting for her graduation day that is a week from now. We held vigil for her yesterday in Kisasi and she will be buried today in Jinja, we shall forever miss her and May her soul rest in eternal peace,” Nambassa said

Babirye passed on at Nsambya hospital and according to reports, she succumbed to diabetic attack.

This publication has learned that there was a vigil at the parents home in Kisaasi Kampala, and she will be laid to rest today Wednesday May 18, at her ancenstral home in Jinja.

Babirye was according to her classmates a bright and hard working student, prayerful soft spoken and had a good sense of humour to those who were close to her.

It has been established that she was among the best performers in the Makerere University 72nd graduation and the third best in the class of Computer Science with a CGPA of 4.38.

May Her Soul Rest In Peace, And May God’s Perpetual Light Shine Upon Thy Soul.
