Archbishop Lambert Beinomugisha during his closing remarks at the Mbarara archdiocese Christmas carols  held at the Nyamitanga cathedral gardens which pulled Christians of all faiths. The church of Uganda was represented by choirs from All Saints Church Mbarara and St James cathedral Ruharo. The other choirs were those from Catholic parishes that make Mbarara archdiocese. Archbishop Lambert called on all Christians to behave themselves well as they approach the festivals. Lambert concluded the event by remarking on the success of the Christmas carols in conveying the gospel message through music. He hoped that everyone present had gained valuable lessons from the songs performed.

The Mbarara city Lord Mayor Mugabe Robert Kakyebezi  commended the Archbishop and organizers of the Christmas carols function for promoting unity as emphasized by NRM and President Museveni`s manifesto.
Speaking at the event, he requested that the function be held annually and wished the gathering a Merry Christmas. He also urged everyone to be security conscious during the festive season, as crime rates tend to increase.
