During the Covid-19 pandemic, Makana narrated, there was no access to healthcare services with hospitals overwhelmed and patients hesitation to visit hence making the need for telehealth more critical.

“With a background deeply rooted in journalism, it brings a unique perspective to the world of telehealth through the ability to investigate, analyse and articulate complex issues which have became a driving force behind the development of Smart Health”, he said.

Makana’s journey from reporting on societal issues to Telehealth entrepreneurship shows that his vision goes beyond mere business success to democratizing and addressing critical gaps in healthcare services particularly in undeserved communities to make it convenient, more affordable and efficient to people.

Smart health is a medical software app designed through Al and technology under Losh Al lab group aiming at making an impact on the healthcare sector around the globe. It’s a 3 in 1 solution comprising inbuilt Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Web marketing features and telemedicine services and can also be entrusted with deep understanding of hospital workflows, and ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.

“Additionally, smart Health boosts a robust laboratory module with customizable reports, radiology services including a DICOM viewer for X-rays and CT scans, pharmacy management, detailed reporting system, insurance administration, ambulance and blood Bank management and unlimited clinic module with doctor restriction capability.” Makana elaborates.

While several telehealth apps exist in the market, most of them offer limited services, requiring users to manage applications for different healthcare needs. Smart health makes it easier by providing a single platform for all healthcare requirements which eliminates the need for users to juggle between multiple apps. Being a great visionary entrepreneur ,’Makana’s transition from journalism to telehealth entrepreneurship serves as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs and journalists alike and also gives the hope and ability to adapt to changing landscapes to show interdisciplinary skills so that to highlight the power of innovation in addressing societal challenges.

As smart Health continues to gain traction in the telehealth sector by ensuring accessibility, convenience and peace of mind for it’s users. Makana remains pledged to his vision of leveraging technology to improve healthcare outcomes and empower communities across the globe.
