A yet to identify LDU officer has shot a primary Head Teacher in Mukono district for allegedly attempting to shield a suspect.
Eric Mutasiga, the Head Teacher at Mercy Time PrimarySchool was shot at wanton during a scuffle that ensued as he attempted to shield a suspect from being arrested.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigiire has confirmed thr incidence stating that police is looking into the matter.
Luke said that Mutasiga was shot in the left thigh and he is nursing wounds.
He (Mutasiga) becomes a third civilian to be shot by LDU in a period of less than a week.
The recent incidentswere in Masaka where the LDU officer shot dead a Boda Boda rider and a pregnant mother who later died in the hospital. The LDU was later shot dead by the UPDF in a guest house where he had taken refuge.
Another recent case took place in Kween district Eastern part of the country in Sebei region.
