Joshua Emorut Egweu, a resident of Mutungu in Nakawa Division Kampala has narrowly escaped death after a vehicle in which he was travelling caught fire and burst into flames.

The incident occured on Thursday morning at Jandira Kayabwe Town Council in Mpigi district along Kampala – Masaka Highway.

Eye witnesses say that the motorvehicle Range Rover Sport(registration number unidentified) which the survivor was driving developed a mechanical fault and smoke was fuming from the engine.

Police said that motorists notified Emorut who parked off the road at Jandira, Kayabwe Town to save his life.

Locals attempted to extinguish the fire but their efforts were fruitless and the car burnt to ashes.
