The Uganda Golf Club came alive on Wednesday night as MARU Credit hosted a dazzling edition of its signature MARU Credit Club Nite, themed “Timeless Tees.” The event fused the elegance of golf with the soul of Ugandan music, crowned by a thrilling live performance from the legendary Afrigo Band.

Now in its sixth consecutive month of sponsorship, MARU Credit has elevated Club Nite into more than just a sporting event, it’s become a social and cultural landmark on Kampala’s calendar. This month’s edition underscored the synergy between legacy and ambition, echoing MARU’s continued commitment to financial inclusion and community empowerment.

“When we first sponsored Club Nite, we envisioned a platform where ambition meets opportunity, a vision mirrored in our core mission,” said Joshua Mazune, Managing Director of MARU Credit. “Just as we provide solutions to bridge financial gaps, events like this bridge passion with purpose.”

The “Timeless Tees” theme resonated deeply with the night’s audience, drawing parallels between the timeless nature of golf, the enduring sounds of Afrigo Band, and the lasting relationships forged on and off the green.

“Timeless Tees, timeless music, timeless connections—this is perfectly aligned with the MARU brand,” Mazune added. “Tonight’s theme speaks to the enduring spirit of golf… But timelessness isn’t just about the game; it’s about the moments we create.”

Beyond the melodies and mingling, the event honored standout performances on the course:

Mazune reaffirmed MARU Credit’s broader mission: “We’re not just a sponsor; we’re a partner in growth on the green, in boardrooms, and in communities. Whether it’s funding an entrepreneur’s next venture or supporting a golfer’s swing, we’re here to ensure that progress never stalls.”

As the final notes of Afrigo Band’s classic anthems echoed through the night, guests left not only with trophies and new contacts but with memories that, true to the theme, felt timeless.
