Mbarara City authorities led by the Resident City Commissioner Lt.Col James Mwesigye and the city Mayor Robert Kakyebezi on Thursday Launched a campaign against Garbage under the theme Keep Mbarara City Clean.
The campaign follows a council resolution by Mbarara City South Division Councillors who recently passed a resolution to have a general cleaning of the city on every last Thursday of the month.
Officiating at the launch Lt.Col.James Mwesigye the Resident City Commissioner Mbarara tipped locals on keeping their neighborhood clean.
RCC Mwesigye said that when the city is maintained clean there will be no disease outbreaks such as Typhoid and Cholera.
Col.Mwesigye further tasked Health Inspectors to leave offices and enforce laws in place against those making the City untidy.
