Dr.Jane Ruth Aceng was in company of Yonas Tegegn, the WHO Representative to Uganda, and Munir Safieldin the UNICEF Representative to Uganda during the function to flag off immunization cold chain equipment at Kololo independence grounds, Kampala.
The equipments were procured with support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and will be distributed to districts to improve vaccination services by easing vaccine storage.

She say that the timely procurement of equipment will aid vaccinators in fully executing their duties.
The National Polio Vaccination campaign is a three days programme starting on Friday January 14, 2022 to Sunday January 16, 2022.
Unlike in the previous times where immunisation centres would be set up like ar schools, churches, or trading centres, this year’s polio immunisation exercise will be a House-to-House campaign.
The campaign targets to vaccinate over 8 million children under 5 years.
The drive is aimed at creating a Uganda free of Polio, by reaching 8,791,710 children.
