Whoever said that God lifts people from grasses to graces, Ghetto to Boston, no one to someone or no where to some where was predicted a life of a yet to identify young pupil at Katagata Primary School, in Buhweju district.
It was a joy packed Sunday yesterday at Katagata P/Sch in Buhweju district during a school fundraising mass when the area Member of Parliament Hon Francis Mwijukye bought a cow worth 1M and donated it to one of the pupils.
According to the MP, the pupil was sighted dressed in casual wear singing in a school choir that animated mass yesterday Sunday March8th something that made him an odd man out of the many learners putting on a school uniform.

“This 4year boy was the only learner with out a uniform amongst those that sung yesterday at Katagata Primary School where I was Chief Guest at a fundraising to raise funds for construction of a classroom block….” Mwijukye said.
This awakened Mwijukye’s generosity to buy a cow that was brought among other items for exchange into liquid cash and gave it to the learner.
“I bought that cow and gave it to him and contributed 2.7M to the construction,” he further explained.

Rev Fr Denis Bainomugisha, the main celebrant of the mass applauded MP Mwijukye for his kindness and prayed for his continuous blessings in his services towards building a better Uganda.
This act of charity comes a week ago, where the same legislator bought a goat in church and donated it to a young boy whose mother was seen shedding what could be called tears of joy.
Mp Mwijukye gives a goat he bought at UgX 500.000 to a young child who moved from a congregation to the altar where the Honourable was auctioning the goat in one of the churches in Buhweju. |
In Buhweju, Mwijukye is famously known not only of his opposition ideologies but also of his ambitions towards building what he term as a strong Mother Land (Buhweju). He for instance often times pay abrupt supervisory and monitory visits in schools, hospitals, and other government projects in his constituency.

These unexpected visits have seen most of the government workers and civil servants in the district perform actively toward ensuring smooth running of government projects and other activities in Buhweju district.
Through his visitations, Mwijukye has encountered both positive development and a rotten mess of projects and programs in Buhweju. These include but not limited to others; in a sorry state infrastructures, absenteeism of a few governmen workers, improper use of government allocated resources by a section of selfish individuals to mention but a few.
BEFORE: a dilapidated classroom structure at Karungu Seed School a government secondary school in Buhweju which Mp Mwijukye paid a visit in tears. |
IN PROGRESS: an on going construction project of a two classroom block and an office block at Karungu Seed School where Hon. Mwijukye donated 270 Iron Sheets after his tear shedding inspection. |
This prompts him to sometimes pick monies in his own budgetary wallets to inject in some projects. Some times as an individual and other times with other selfless persons like school parents and the faithful communities.
thanks to Hon. Mwijukye for the big deal in educating the people of Buhweju
