The Mityana Municipality member of parliament, Francis Buteebi Zaake, also the 11th parliament commissioner has said that he and his team were last night attacked and beaten by an unknown group of goons at Dua prayers.
Zaake said he and his team had been attending a Dua for the deceased NUP stalwart, Shakira Nabagesera who passed on last month at Naguru Hospital when a group of over 30 young energetic goons ambushed and clobbered them.
MP Zaake managed to escape but his bodyguard, Ashiraf Sseremba was beaten and is currently admitted at Rubaga Hospital in critical condition.
The legislator who earlier this morning had gone to Rubaga hospital to check on his bodyguard said he is in good conditions.
