PARROTS UG|SPORTS DESK: Ugandan football lovers are heartbroken after former National Team Captain, Dennis Onyango has missed on coach Micho’s provisional list of players to play against Kenya in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
On Thursday, there were speculations that the former shoot-stopper Onyango was returning to the team few months after his wilful retirement from international football.
As curious as a pussy cat, Ugandans were at cloud nine and have been eagerly waiting to read the legend’s name on the squad only to realise his name missing.
The new Cranes coach, Micho has named 31 man provisional squad for local and a few foreign players based in Uganda which will play in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The team will have a training camp in Jordan before having an international friendly and later play against neighbours, Kenya in the opening game in Nairobi on August, 31.
Parrots UG learned that a final squad for the games against Kenya and Mali will be named after the game against Ethiopia.

The provisional squad has four goalkeepers including Express FC new signing, Joel Mutakubwa, Charles Lukwago(KCCA FC) , Simon Tamale (Soltilo Bright Stars) and Nafian Alionzi (URA).
