Police in Kampala have arrested their own officer for allegedly stabbing her lover to death
Mercy Allow, a female Probation Police Constable (PPC) has been under going a practical training at Jinja road police station following completion of her police basic course three months ago.
She allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Lance Corporal Wilfred Okori, a prisons warder at Prisons Academy and Training School on Sunday evening February 18.
Frank Baine Mayanja, the spokesperson for Uganda Prisons Service revealed that the duo had a domestic brawl which sparked off the incident. He said Okori was rushed to Luzira staff clinic where he died few minutes later.
“The Prison security apprehended the culprit and handed her to police for further management. The victim is for Apac district while the culprit comes from Tororo,” Baine said,
He said they are working tirelessly to ensure that justice prevails for the deceased family.
