President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, along with First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Maama Janet Kataaha Museveni, awarded Mr. Abdul Katabaazi the prestigious Nalubaale Medal at State House Entebbe.
The Nalubaale Medal is bestowed upon civilian activists who have contributed significantly to the political development of Uganda. Mr. Katabaazi, a plumber and motorcycle rider in Lungujja, Rubaga Division, was honored for his brave actions in capturing the assailants who fatally shot Eng.
Daniel Bbosa, a prominent figure in Buganda Kingdom’s Endiga Clan. President Museveni praised Mr. Katabaazi for his bravery and likened him to a bush war fighter like himself.
During the meeting, Mr. Katabaazi expressed gratitude for the recognition and meeting with the President. Additionally, President Museveni pledged to recognize and support other boda boda riders who assisted in apprehending the assailants.
The award serves as a reminder of the valor and dedication shown by individuals like Mr. Katabaazi in upholding justice and security in the nation.
