KAMPALA:
A section of a building under construction has collapsed in Kisenyi – near the Bus terminal.
A number of casualities is still unknown but its estimated that over thirty people who were working on the building are still feared dead.
The police rescue and fire brigade together with Uganda Red Cross emergency response team have been deployed to support with any evacuations.
“We have deployed our emergency rescue services team and 2 ambulances to support the emergency rescue going on at Kisenyi, near the Bus terminal where a building under construction just caved in. Working along side.” URC said.
The collapse comes weeks after a person died when a five-storeyed building under construction in Kitebi Zone also collapsed at midnight.
