ISO Boss Collapses During Rosary Prayers, Dies After Rushing to Hospital Brigadier General Charles Oluka, the director general for Internal Security Organization (ISO) has died, the army reported.
Brig. Gen. Oluka reportedly collapsed during Rosary prayers with his family on Wednesday evening and was immediately rushed to Seguku hospital where he was pronounced dead moments later. This was disclosed by the director of defense public information, Acting Major Gen. Felix Kulayigye, during an appearance on UBC TV’s Behind The Headlines show.
“We got a call from the family that he was with them saying the Rosary in the evening when he collapsed and was rushed to a hospital,” Ag. Maj. Gen. Kulayigye said.
Reports indicate that Brig. Gen. Oluka had been battling heart complications.
Assistant Presidential Press Secretary Farouk Kirunda also confirmed his death via his X (formerly Twitter) handle but did not provide details regarding the cause.
Gen Oluka the son of Teso,took over leadership of ISO in October 2020 from Col Frank Bagyenda who was facing enormous criticism over alleged Fabricated intelligence reports.
The spymaster is survived by his wife Harriet Akisa, with whom he tied the knot in 2023.
