A customer in Kampala city is battling stomach complications after a filthy substance was found in a Minute Maid drink, a product of Coca Cola Beverages which she bought to quench her thirsty on on Monday 8th April, 2024.

Usher Kulusum, a renown media personality in Kampala is upset with the substandard services by the company after she consumed a suspicious substance in their beverage products.

“My colleagues be warned, Minute Maid products on market are not healthy! This is what i got from minute maid berry blast last night at a supermarket in Kulambiro…imagine breaking your fast on such a disgust! Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda. And till now i still suffer stomach upset! #shame ….Let’s share video for public caution,” the client shared on her social media platforms.

Filthy substance found in customer’s minutes maid drink in Kampala.

She reportedly bought the drink at one of the supermarkets in Kisasi , Kulambiro a Kampala suburb as she returned to her home from work.

“I took first sip okay and second sip which I thought was sipping together with an ice but I found a disgusting substance is what I almost swallowed,” Kulusum said in an interview with Parrots Media.

Kulusum who said she is suffering stomach pains added, “Just imagine I had taken this drink to my babies at home they would even eat the filthy substance…I am currently dealing with stomach complications.”

Coca Cola is apparently tongue-tied to attend to the client’s complaints despite several attempts to contact the company.

“I tried to reach out to Coca Cola beverages to answer but in vain …,” the nearly breaking down Kulusum said.

The incident occured few days after a suspected penis was found in city restaurant food ordered by a customer.

The Daily Monitor News paper on April 1, reported that a hungry customer in Kampala was relieving from shock after he forked out from a beef stew what appeared a child genital in a local meal he had ordered for.

“The client told police investigators that when he scooped what he thought to be a piece of beef from the sauce, he forked out what appeared to look like genital of a boy,” Daily Monitor quoted the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire.

The Newspaper further reported that the restaurant owner and the waitress had been arrested to aid in investigation.

The suspected genital has been submitted to the experts to establish whether it is on a human being or not. If tests confirm that it is of a human being, then we will escalate investigations to find out who lost it and how it ended up in the saucepan,” Owoyesigyire added.
