MBARARA

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has launched a nationwide campaign to celebrate President Yoweri Museveni’s achievements, with a grand celebration slated for July 5, 2024, at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.

Western Region NRM Mobilizer, Zephline Muhangi under the the Secretariat of mobilization and recruitment headed by Hon Rose Mary Seninde and National Mobilizer for the celebration Keitetsi Faith, held a press briefing at Pelican Hotel in Mbarara city yesterday 24th June, calling on all NRM pressure groups to join the celebration and show appreciation for the President’s accomplishments.

Zephline emphasized that while other countries have recognized President Museveni’s good governance with awards, Ugandans have not yet dedicated a day to celebrate his achievements.

“I am happy for the fight president Museveni has started on corruption and this will be another milestone to celebrate and if it continues like this, Uganda will develop at a terrible speed”, added Zephline.

Dr. Samuel Oledo, former President of the Uganda Medical Association (UMA) and head of the State House Scholarship Program, highlighted the President’s significant contributions to the education sector, including Universal Primary Education (UPE), Universal Secondary Education (USE), and scholarships at universities and tertiary institutions.

Former Mbarara Mayor, Tumwiine, urged people from Mbarara and western Uganda to prepare themselves to travel to Kololo and celebrate the President’s achievements, noting the significant improvements in the country’s quality of life since 1980.
